What’s covered
Domestic Boiler & Central Heating System.
The complete breakdown of the domestic boiler and/or central heating system which results in the loss of heating and/or hot water, a contribution towards the purchase or hire of alternative heating sources.
Plumbing & Drainage
Damage to or failure of the plumbing and drainage system where internal flooding or water damage is likely, including blocked toilets and external drains.
External Water Supply Pipe
A leak, collapse or blockage of the water supply pipe provided that you are responsible for this.
Internal Electricity
An electricity failure of at least one complete circuit.
Gas Supply
Repairing or replacing a section of damaged internal gas supply pipe causing a leak.
Overnight Accommodation
Overnight accommodation where the home is rendered uninhabitable.
Break Down of Eco Insulation
Loss of the eco insulation due to damp of animal infestation
Solar
There are many factors that must be in mind when considering warranties for you solar panel system. These include the workmanship of your installer and the labour and parts they used, inverter(s) and the solar modules themselves
Boiler Replacement Contribution
A contribution towards the cost of a replacement boiler should yours be deemed to be beyond economical repair.
Frequently asked questions
- At the start of the agreement the information you provide must be true and complete to the best of your knowledge and you must tell us if anything changes later.
- You must provide complete answers to any questions asked.
- You must observe the terms, provisions, conditions of this cover – failure to do so could affect your cover.
- The maximum amount payable per claim is £750.
- The maximum amount payable per year is £1500.
- Maximum claim limit of £300 for all boiler and heating claims made within 90 days of the commencement date of the cover.
- Compulsory £50 excess on all claims made within the first 90 days of the commencement date of the cover.
- Unlimited number of claims per year.
- Any incident under Boiler Replacement Contribution that occurs in the first 6 months after the cover commencement date is not covered.
- Boiler Replacement Contribution claims up to £500.
- Overnight Accommodation claims up to £250.
- Your home must be your permanent place of residence and occupied by you and your family.
- Circumstances known to you prior to the commencement date of the cover will not be covered.
- Claims arising where the home has been left unoccupied for a period exceeding 60 consecutive days
- If you decide for any reason that this cover does not meet your needs, please return it within 14 days from the date of purchase or on the day you received your cover documentation. Providing no claims have been made or pending, we will refund you your premium in full.
- You may cancel the cover at any time after this by informing us, however, you will not be entitled to a refund of the premium and you may incur a £35 administration fee.
- You should make payment to your broker, this may be by making a one-off payment or your broker may be able to arrange credit facilities
- This cover lasts for one year, and the dates of the cover are specified in your policy schedule.
